Specifically, the objectives of DWAI are:

• To create a worldwide professional association of professional who use or wish to use online computer technology for spreading education and help support upcoming candidates.
• To advance technical and institutional support for practitioners in DW field.
• To sponsor both voluntary and professional activities, providing DW forums, online DW conferences, an e-journals, and other online publications for the education and awareness of the new breed of DW professional and Decision makers.
• To organize ongoing asynchronous and synchronous online communication channels by which members exchange ideas and engage in scholarly discussions of issues related to DW and in pan-disciplinary subject areas at all levels of true education,
• To serve the need for online DW trainings to become a professional discipline based on sound pedagogical principles and humanistic ethics,
• To promote the deserved enhancement of the professional status of online educators, technology specialists, and administrators who implement DW/BI responsibly in terms of laid down principles.
• To organize expertise in online educational issues to serve the professional needs of practitioners in the field.
• To assist practitioners in the conceptualization, planning, construction, administration, and evaluation of DW
• To provide scholarships for economically weak students and professional who cannot access HIGH QUALITY trainings due to its cost, we provide scholarships to those who are economically weak and socially backward.
• To put on the Global map the power of INDIA as a HUB for DW technologies and making the Technology trainings more viable wherein global players can outsource work to INDIA.
• Provide a forum for INDIAN experience and research.
• Arrange regular professional meetings to discuss specific data warehousing topics.
• Facilitate the delivery of high-quality training in INDIA.
• Establish a quantifiable reference standard for Data Warehousing Consultants.
• Provide a community environment where networking can open doors to top quality consultants for employers or clients, and where consultants can find prospective job opportunities.
• Provide a forum for relevant vendors to become exposed to the people who would find interest in their products and solutions, and who may have the potential to leverage them from time to time.
• Chair professional conferences and seminars by invitation where appropriate.
  • Deliver quarterly two-hour presentation seminars consisting of two presentations from the Data Warehousing community together with an update on DWAI activities and to facilitate networking opportunities.
  • Create an annual conference with a range of presentations on various Data Warehousing topics and the presence of companies with offerings for those wishing to look at them.
  • Encourage research on Data Warehousing topics at educational institutes.
  • Provide training courses to professionals through DWAI constructed courses or special arrangements for – DWAI members made with training vendors.
  • Arrange opportunistic special events when suitable speakers are available.
